tldr, Wayland global hotkeys, what’s your solution?

I have 2 use cases that I need the same solution for. one is push to mute in discord when I push to talk in cs2, so my friends don’t get to hear me twice. and when streaming to twitch I have a foot pedal that I push to mute in discord so I can talk to chat.

it of course works fine in xorg but Wayland not so much. it works with some apps focussed but not others (my understanding is that it works when I play wow becuase that uses xwayland or something) .

what are you guys using to get around this? I know in kde I can bind mute microphone but that straight up mutes it at a system level so neither discord or chat can hear me.
