I used a USB cable for the first time without knowing that it was broken and its wires were touching. Since then the port stopped working. Everything external doesn’t work except for a USB fan but then it stopped too… (Means the port still gives power?) I’m wondering if I shorted a circuit. Someone said there is a fuse in USB ports and it needs changing… Others just said I fried the HUB controller… I don’t even know how could that happen… Eitherways I need help knowing if it’s a hardware a software issue. And is my port fried. Does it need changing or what?
