I live in a flat, and my heating system is a combi-boiler with radiators in every room. My current thermostat is not a smart one; it’s the stock one that comes with the boiler. In my previous home, we had a Google Nest, and I enjoyed the flexibility of turning it on/off with my phone. The problem is that, in this flat, the thermostat is located near the entrance door, in the hallway that leads to the rooms and the living room. This area doesn’t have any radiators and is usually unoccupied. As a result, it is by far the coldest part of the flat. Due to this, I can’t really set the thermostat to any temperature, since by the time the thermostat’s location reaches that temperature, the rest of the house is boiling!

I’m thinking maybe I should use a smart thermostat that has a remote sensor? I could put this sensor in the living room or bedroom. (I know there are more advanced sensors that can turn each radiator on/off and control by room, but the flat is small, and I don’t think I need that granular control).
