I drive a small, turbo-driven engine and i read that accelerating in a gear thats too high harms the engine. My question is, when i just accelerate like normal, then reach the speed i need on the road (long road with constant speed) and then put it in a high gear where the rpm is low but car feels fine, is this bad for the car or can i do it like this?
