I only come to this sub for Dota content. There are a ton of people who exclusively play Turbo, which is fine, but as a result, there is a growing number of people who post clips from the game mode as though it reflects the state of actual Dota.
It’s like unintentional clickbait for a lot of us snooty purists.
Well arguably, plays only at or would be valid because everything else just becomes “well, enemy was really bad so of course you can look flashy, bullying noobs”.
This is an example of a really weak slippery slope fallacy. One is a categorically distinct game mode, and the other is a continuum. It’s very easy to see where and why the line would be drawn.
Valid point, but i feel like it’s so easy to find out it’s a turbo game. Just look at the time and items on the hero. Literally takes a second.
Yes, but for Dota clips that have a zillion things going on, looking at time and items right away might mean missing the meat and having to rewatch. Or you watch the meat first and then realize it’s Turbo.
Besides, the same could be said about it only taking a few seconds to identify the nature of any post, but we still have flairs to make that quicker.
