He knows it’s a football play. Should be changed or not, it’s allowed with the current rules. Sucks Mandrews hurt but no way they would’ve stopped him without it unfortunately.

    It will suck for defenders to adjust, It’ll make it more important to keep guys infront of you but ultimately we all want the best athletes on the field and hip-drop tackles are antithetical to that.

    In the same way defensive ends “let up” some when hitting the QB if a rule change like this were to happen players will simply adjust. That’s sports and change happens.

    I know as fans it might be frustrating to see big hits leave the game or even hits like this but I think if it keeps stars on the field longer the league will probably be in favor of it.

    But at the same time who knows, it’s less than 24 hrs removed so theres a lot of chatter. But the league might not care at all. Like All22 said in their recent upload the NFL has always been disingenuous when it comes to player safety. If they genuinely cared about player safety there wouldn’t be 17 games and Thursday night football in the first place.
