I just built a gaming PC for my living room. It’s mostly a frankenstein of spare machines and parts, as I’m not in a position to buy new hardware right now. It’s a Dell Precision 5810 with a GTX 1080 and some extra hard drives. I have it set up to launch Steam in BPM, but I had initially wanted to install SteamOS onto it, but apparently Nvidia GPUs don’t play nice with what’s available right now.
My big reason for wanting to use SteamOS instead of Windows was I wanted that console-style ability to just pause a game and put the machine to sleep. Whenever I’ve tried putting my PC to sleep while running a game, it tends to cause issues. Is there a good way to deal with that?
