New to comics and I know similar questions have been asked, so sorry in advance but I wanted to clarify something.

These seasons are coming too slow lol and I want to read what happens. I saw some others say read the Compendiums, but I looked on Amazon and #1 is 1000+ pages. I was just wondering to follow the main storyline of Mark and Omni-Man, is all three Compendiums necessary or can I follow another lighter reading path?
