Like - when you go to set runes it is based on the champion you’re playing. You’d have 3 different trees with different keystone/rune options but it’s all based on the champion you’re playing as.
Could add a bunch of unique options to each champion, while also giving a lot more control to devs for balancing. For example you could control which champions had access to which keystones, or even make up new keystones for certain champions.

But Yone and Yasuo and Irelia would all have different options etc.
Probably a ton of work but I think it would be cool - more interesting than current rune system which is one size (doesn’t) fit all.
I don’t think you realize the amount of work it would take, we are talking about years on working on it.
Overwatch 2 which has alot less heroes planned to relase with a PVE story mode that would have unique skill tree to each character and they had to scrap it up because it took too much work.
Trying to do it in league would take literal years, just look at how long the skarner rework takes, if they try to do something like that we might see it happen at 2050.
