Hey! Just stopping by to see if anyone could help me out with a problem I’m having with my boots.

I have a pair of Timberland boots, I bought them about a year ago from DSW. The problem is they are just WAY. Too squeaky, it’s absolutely annoying and embarrassing to even wear them in public. I barely even wear them because you can straight up hear me squeaking around loudly from a distance even outside.

I’ve looked all over for ways to stop this. Sand paper on the soles, oiling them, wearing them in and just waiting, nothing has stopped the squeak. Is there anything anyone can think of to prevent the noise? I’ve been wearing Timberland boots almost my whole life and never had this problem, is this just a result of a poor quality product? I know places like DSW get the “scraps”, so to speak, so it’s a (likely) bummer that I just got sold a crap pair of boots because these ain’t cheap haha.

Any advice or insight is appreciated.
