As a companion to the “who is a player you don’t get the hype for” thread, here is something more positive. Who is a player you feel is either disrespected, misunderstood, underrated, or straight-up maligned to an unfair degree?
My pick is THJ. Every single time I watch this dude play (usually against the Lakers) he looks like Prime TMac. He just gets to his spots, elevates, and knocks everything down with such a pure stroke. He seems unstoppable at times. And yet, I know Mavs fans constantly are disappointed with his inconsistent play, so maybe I am missing something with my few-and-far-in-between impressions.

The media imo seems to love curry too much and hate Lebron too much . When curry broke the 3 point record you would think he didn’t something major / he broke a record set by Reggie miller . Way too much hoopla about that .
Giannis gets disrespected more then any top 50 player in history.
Paul George. His podcast is awesome, seems like a pretty nice guy.

Kuzma, yeah he wears weird outfits but it’s not fault Lakers fan overvalued him and compared him to Tatum. He’s a still solid basketball player who will work hard on both ends of the courts.
Goatbrook
For me it’s westbrook and booker.
Al Horford. He’s not a corny dweeb who looks like a turtle and plays really, really, exceptionally ugly basketball
Anthony Davis. Seems like a mild mannered guy, don’t get the hate.
Dude is one of the most disrespected players ever, he gets clowned on for being hurt and people like he was always trash in LA when he was insane in the bubble playoffs
