Had this thought driving home:
-
We were never 50 points worse than Miami, we were probably 20 points worse than Miami, and the defense quit. Why did they quit?
-
You’re probably under prepared as a unit, you sense that, and once you’re down 3 scores (knowing your offense isn’t going to keep up), you are already tired and discouraged.
-
Add to that Douchebag Gregory McCurse, and you’ve got overall morale dropping because you know one of your better players doesn’t care.
So you get rid of the downer, fix some simple things, and your more positive players re-ignite the spark. This defense is showing what it can really be now, and Vance Joseph ain’t that bad at DC. I think the Vikings game will solidify my views here if the defense performs well.
When the going gets tough, the defense…quits…
I don’t think any team would have beat the dolphins at their house on 90+ degrees in September. The score was ridiculous but we had no chance from the get go
Can’t go any further down from rock bottom
