I’ve tried to make a little diagram to show what’s happening.

We recently got new internet and so I’ve had to find a way to get the internet to work upstairs. The router is in the basement. With Verizon, they had set up a second router upstairs which was connected via coax. When we switched, I had to unplug everything to take back, so I’m pretty confident I’ve plugged everything in where it was before.

Now, I’ve got a moca adapter and it’s not working. I’m under the impression you only need one if your modem or router is moca compatible, which mine is. Maybe this specific adapter requires you to have two? Nothing on the packaging made it seem that way, though.

Anyways, this is probably an easy issue, but I have no idea what’s wrong. Any help would be appreciated :)

Oh, sorry, I guess I didn’t think about some things with the diagram. The modem is connected to a fiber cable and I’m not really sure how the two coax outlets connect, I just know that they reach each other somehow.
