2011 Honda Civic DX dashboard lines flicker on and off, sometimes staying turned on for 3 or 4 seconds. This is when the key is not in the ignition.

I’m going to try to see my mechanic next week, but with Thanksgiving, I might not be able to get in. I just don’t want to drain the battery.

Any thoughts on why this is happening and how easy to fix it?
