Jared Goff is the reason we are 7-2. The Lions are less talented than the Eagles, 49ers, and Cowboys, yet national media constantly put us in those same tiers. Brock Purdy is not elite, Dak is dak, and Hurts has been average this year. None of those QBs would have been able to lead the Lions to a 7-2 record.
We are one year away from being a true contender, but we may still win it all this year—depending on how the schedule plays out. For instance, Lamar just got an easy ride to the playoff because Burrows and the brown rapist is out.
Did you watch the QB school recap of Goff this week? He is playing well but not perfect, a lot like Purdy actually. Neither are elite. Stop letting your emotions cloud your judgement.

As an outsider, my perspective is that Goff is ONE of the reasons you’re succeeding. The entire offense is performing incredibly well, whether it be the run game with Monty or the passing game with pieces like Amon-Ra or LaPorta. The defense has a fair amount to be desired, but is certainly a step up from last year. I’m excited to see how you perform this season, but I have to say that Goff isn’t the main reason you’re winning - this is a great team/coaching success. Broncos Country, One Pride 🐎🦁
