The off-season is obviously because we never get a single star, but the regular season is frustrating too. We typically underperform, and barely beat bad teams like last game. Our stars never really have big performances like 30, 40, 50 point games to get you hyped. So as a result of those 2 things, no one takes the team seriously, we get 0 media coverage/respect, and us fans have probably the least amount of fun a fanbase can have when their team’s a championship contender.
Then the playoffs come around and omg is it the exact opposite! Jimmy is like Wade resurrected, the teams a well oiled machine, and basically every regular season problem is gone. And honestly I’d be okay with this dynamic if we were winning titles that is. But since we haven’t this is extremely frustrating. To the point that if we aren’t gonna win I’d rather this be the opposite.
Yes, I know people are gonna call me dumb for saying this because going deeper in the playoffs obviously means you had a more successful season, but the regular season is 82 games man. Like since we didn’t win anyway, I’d have rather been excited and had fun during the regular season even if I had to lose a little earlier in the playoffs in return. It would just be more consistently entertaining that way.
P.S. before anyone calls me a fake fan I watch nearly every game, no matter how frustrating the regular season may be.
