Does it really help with the Heat?

I know the Deck can get pretty hot on the back and make gaming a bit uncomfortable so was looking into getting the backplate if it helps with that. It looks like it should, but I’ve also heard some people say that it put extra heat on the screen. So just want to get some straight answers from people who have it.

Also is it good quality and worth the $20+?
