I haven’t seen this mentioned elsewhere but I thought Likely was blocking like a boss last night. Not to diminish Mandrews and his awful injury but I’ve been intrigued with the prospect of using Kolar in the end zone with his height and wingspan, and if there is any positive from that horrible situation is that other weapons, including Vokolek, might develop more. It still feels there is a lot more potential for this offence to develop and we seem to be taking good steps in the right direction, and when it all clicks…watch out. Watching Skip Bayliss on Undisputed Live and him sniffing and rubbing his nose regularly… hmmm

Well, if I’m not imagining history…isn’t an injury to Hurst the exact reason Mandrews became the TE1 and Hurst got traded? I seem to recall that being the story. Don’t worry, I’m not implying we’ll ever let Mandrews wear another jersey on purpose. I’m just saying that sometimes the next man up makes his shot worth it.

I also think it’s worth mentioning that BAL has had some solid ass TE’s in general. A lot of those boys were GOOD!

Heap, Pitta, Sharpe, Dickson (solid, not as good as the prev 3 but still), Clarke (balled out for that year), etc
