Had to cut fuel line because of stripped line bolt

Hey guys changing my fuel pump on my 96 Tacoma and had to cut the line because the line bolt on the fuel pump assembly was stripped, my question is how would y’all go about the repair should I get a new braided line from summit or get the tools and go back with a steel line for the 6 or so inches that I need to reconnect the OEM line.
