Call me crazy if you want, but I personally think we should consider going after LaVine. If the Bulls would take Buddy, McConnell, and Jarrace Walker, along with our 1st round pick, I’d pull the trigger. Move Mathurin to the bench, let him continue to grow, without hampering the team. It puts us in WIN NOW mode, capitalizing on prime Haliburton/Turner. We would have LaVine under contract for 4 years. If Mathurin does figure it out, he’s 6’5” or 6’6”, he could easily start for us at the 3 spot. We would be win now, without hurting us too bad long term. It would suck to lose out on what Walker could become, but it’s a gamble I’m willing to take.

Why would the bulls say yes? They’re basically trading their best player for *checks notes” Jarace Walker (a guy who haven’t played more than 10 minutes) and some mid first round picks.

Let’s be real guys. If we want any good players we’ll have to give up on Mathurin or Nembhard. They’re our only youngs players with potential (outside of Tyrese)

I don’t even think Lavine helps the team that much. We might go from the best offense in the league to the best offense in the league, but we would still be bottom 5 in defense.
