I have a Chromebook for playing Minecraft Bedrock since Chrome OS doesn’t allow Minecraft Java, and I want to play Minecraft with my niece and nephew on our own server. I’m already done with the hardware since I’m a tech geek (the server has a Ryzen 5 4600g, 32 gigabytes of RAM, a 2TB NVMe SSD, and an Nvidia Tesla P40-ik—overkill). The hardware is pretty weird, I know, but it’s based around power efficiency. At full load with a titanium PSU, it draws about 200W max. However, what I haven’t sorted out is the software. What kind of software do I need to host a Minecraft server, and is there anything else I need to install to host my Bedrock server?
