My sister sent me just the 😳 emoji and it shows as a black face. I went through every other face emoji individually and none of the others show as this. Is it an homage to William H. Wests’ Big Minstrel Jubilee? It seems to be the only face that looks like his signature makeup.
To my knowledge, the only emojis with varying skin tones are the hands and people (✌🏻🧑🏽🏃🏿➡️). The normal face emojis seem to only come in yellow.
I have the flip 5 on 5.1.1 UI. If you send just 😳 in a text it’s black.
