Ok hear me out.

Most people I have spoken to already had a large enough or even substantial Steam game library when they picked up a Deck.

For them, the Deck was a way to play their massive libraries on the go and for many, they are now completing more games than ever before.

However, for me, I’ve always been a console player. I picked up a Steam Deck last January and have slowly been building a library of games from absolute zero. I can’t get over the Steam sales and humble bundle offers - it’s night and day from my €80 PS5 games.

But, lately I’ve been thinking to myself, what would Cyberpunk, Final Fantasy or Resident Evil look like on a monster gaming laptop with the graphics pushed to the max?!

Has anyone else that’s new to Steam been in a similar position where the Deck was the gateway to a PC gaming journey in general?

Has anyone gone on to get a gaming desktop or laptop because of the Steam Deck or have you just been completely satisfied with the Deck?

Playing God of war on highest settings with a good hdr screen is really nice. There are worlds between SD or consoles in general. But tbh I had the biggest wow-effect playing Half life alyx on my quest 2 streaming everything from my pc so i could venture in the world of half life from my garden. That way I was totally immersed inside the game and had no boundarys like close walls etc. Really awesome :D
