22’ Corolla, Can’t open hood (sometimes)

After washing my car I wanted to check out under the hood, but I couldn’t. The leaver didn’t work.

After several attempts I gave up. I parked my car and after a while it opened on its own 🤡.

I don’t know how to explain this to the dealer when I take it in. Is this normal? Do I have a workaround in case of an emergency?

2022 Toyota Corolla LE with 20,600 miles.
