I am looking to convert my PVE server to rack for easier cable management and consolidation. It is running on Asrock extreme6 Z97 ATX motherboard, air cooled i7 CPU, 3 3.5 HDs, and 1 SSD. I may add an nvidia 1660 ti for PLEX.

I stumbled upon Rosewell 4000 and 4500 cases. Those are the cheapest but they have not been updated in several years and appear cheap on videos. I looked into starUSA but has mixed reviews on Amazon. Sliger seems to be the trend but also seems flimsy on a review for 2GT.

Given my hardware, what do you recommend? Budget is negotiable depends on the longevity and upgradability.

I’ve been contemplating 3d printed or partially 3d printed for this. As long as the heat output doesn’t go in the 250 celcius range abs should hold.

I previously printed some rackmount conversions for some stage equipment for a vocal group and it’s been holding well. Split parts can be a lap joint with an adhesive made by tossing the bits and pieces from supports or failed prints with acetone to make a slurry and brush it on both sides to fuse them.
