I appreciate Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby’s contributions to the Toronto Raptors. Siakam excels in his role, while OG is a strong defender with good offensive skills. However, both seem more suited for a fully developed contender team rather than our current direction, not to mention roster shortcoming.

Anunoby’s health is crucial for our success, but his frequent injuries and expected high salary demands are immediate red flags. He wants a salary starting at 150 max (per grange and Lou will), and has has played 43, 38, and 67 games the last three years.

As for Siakam, his skill overlap with Scottie Barnes and potential expensive contract, coupled with the team’s seeming inclination to move on from him, indicate a possible trade strategy.

The Raptors are struggling offensively, ranking 27th, and the team composition with three power-forwards lacks diversity in skillsets. The poor performance of our roster, was evident in our recent games against the Celtics. We’re just so far away from being a contender and that’s with both players still on our roster.

Overall, even with Siakam and OG, the team is not poised for winning, highlighting the need for strategic changes to build a more cohesive and competitive team. We should gather as much assets as possible, before one or both leave Free Agency. Or worst, handicap our team in Cap hell, while still not making the playoffs.

So basically, the wizards 2.0. We aren’t gonna be better by trading away Siakam and OG for scraps. We’re looking at a long term rebuild here, in which we’ll somehow have to convince Scottie to stay behind if he takes that superstar leap

Im a pretty big fan of the Lavine trade, I think it’s time for a shakeup and a guy that can play perfectly alongside Scottie and Siakam as an off ball threat as well as a transition machine
