I rarely drive this truck… less every year.

Last winter I only drove it short trips 15-20 when it snowed and it hadn’t been driven at all since Feb/March.

The battery was completely dead as expected so I jumped it and drove at highway speeds for over 30 minutes.

After the drive it still was completely dead.

From searching the reddit I see that leaving a battery drained for a long time (in my case 3-4 months) can ruin it. The battery itself is only a couple years old if that. If I take it in will they be able to test that?

Going forward… how can I prevent this? I’ll never drive it much. Even if I did remember to take it out occasionally it would only be short trips.
