I’ll be interested to see how Darnell Wright does vs Hutchinson. Our rookie RT has been through the gauntlet of edge rushers so far this season.

It would be so much easier if Maye, Williams or both were just these surefire prospects without significant weaknesses.

Whether we run with either of them or Fields next year, fans need to understand the QB position is going to be a work in progress and have growing pains.

Today marks the 187th matchup between the Bears and Lions. The Bears lead the all-time series 104-77-5. The previous meeting ended with a Lions victory 41-10. The Bears last victory over the Lions came in 2021. The Bears have won 7 of their last 10 matchups against the Lions.

Jayden Daniels has played his way into being in the same conversation as Maye and Williams while also playing against significantly better competition.

This is only good for us no matter if we go the route of trading down or taking a QB

If Fields starts to get his short/quick game working we’re going to start winning games.

A lot of games.

Our D is acceptable on everything but 3rd and long.

We’re 4th worst on 3rd and long. We’re now generating a Pass Rush. 3rd and long problems may trend toward acceptable.

It all depends on Fields making that adjustment. Today is a HUGE game for our Franchise.

The Lions are 21st in Sacks, He’s going to have some time.

We can win this game. Stay ahead of the sicks, No turnovers. Smart, complimentary Football and we shock them.

Excited for Monty to run for 200yds and 3 tuds

For much of the season, there has been a safety net that if Fields ends the year stinking it up, we would have (at minimum) 1 franchise QB to draft this offseason.

I’m nearing a place where Maye may end up being the de facto #1 QB and I couldn’t be less excited as he is far from perfect. And by the time we get to the combine, Daniels may have played his way into the #2 QB spot.

It would just be so much easier if Fields can just rip it and then we can focus on MHJ/Fashanu/EDGE
