Podcasts like The Athletic BBall Pod or The Mismatch give more attention to the freaking Charlotte Hornets and the Rockets even when they get demolished. We’re like the black sheep of the NBA. I’m not mad but I would love to hear analysis from a more mainstream media.

Not sure if you were a fan when we made 5 straight ECF’s, but it was ridiculous to listen to sports talk guys completely gloss over us during the playoffs. I was a west coast fan, and at the time there weren’t any good ways to listen to local Detroit sports content so I was stuck with the national stuff.
Now that Detroit-only content is available all over YouTube and Spotify, I don’t even pay attention to the national shows. Gave up on that shit a long time ago haha
I was a fan but I’m from Puerto Rico so at the time I was also stuck with national media. I’m complaining here but yeah times have truly helped to get our Pistons content. It’s just a bummer that they still gloss over our young core. But it’s fair, we haven’t done anything. Now I live in Portland and everytime the Pistons come to town I’m there with my T. Prince jersey and get fucking roasted by the fans lol. I hope it ends this year.

It’s been two games from the time you posted this. Even after tonight’s awesome win, the national media isn’t going to rush to talk about a 17 win team last year. They have to earn it, and games like tonight will help w that.
