I know it’s early to talk about this, especially since we’re likely going to the playoffs at the point (knock on wood), but I’m curious to see what people think Brad will do about the secondary this offseason. The front office clearly focused on bringing in reinforcements to boost the secondary, and it seemed like the biggest problem the defense would be mostly solved, at least for this year. The fact that two of the three main guys brought onto the roster were signed to one-year prove it deals was a great move, since it gave them an opportunity to propel themselves into bigger contracts, and it gave us an opportunity to see if either or both guys would be worth signing long-term alongside Sutton.

Fast-forward to now, Moseley’s once again out with a torn ACL, and Ceedy hasn’t played since September. The opportunity to assess their cornerstone potential is now gone, though maybe Ceedy can show something in the postseason to boost his stock.

So I have no idea what’s going to happen. Obviously, the secondary still needs a boost, but it’s hard to tell if we should draft a rookie DB, sign a few vets in free agency, or re-sign Ceedy and/or Moseley (unlikely with E-Man). What do you think?

Priority is probably edge, somebody like Mafe could be a pass rush specialist as a rookie on the way to being a 3 down player. Depth in the secondary and on the o line would be prudent.

Look-Aid McKinstry is the only answer. Wears 1 at Alabama, and has a badass name that fits perfectly. We also need to pick him up at 12 to continue the prophecy of Gibbs and jamo being no1 at Alabama and being picked at 12 through a trade up

I predict they will go with more secondary picks next draft.
