Fans and analysists know that this team is flawed from top to bottom. I know fans love Pascal, as he’s great, he really is, but the overlap between Scottie is just brutal. Even though Scottie has improved his shooting, he is most deadly from the post where he can use his size. Which is where Pascal is effective.
The last 3-4 years have made no sense with every move being more head scratching than the last. So now the team is left with a deeply deeply flawed roster and limited assets to trade. There are rumors that the Raptor’s front office has MLSE interference.
The team needs to be stripped down and rebuilt as the foundation is horrible. Pascal is great but doesn’t fit with Scottie or a ‘development’ timeline. They need to bite the bullet and trade him for picks and young players and finally get out of this silly ass ‘vision 6’9’ nonsense.
Doing what Chicago and others have done by swapping here and there has never worked, unless you have Lebron or Giannis on your team. They’re not one trade away from being good. They’re not even one move away from being average.
One game, Darko tried spacing the floor with Boucher and McDaniels at the wings. It was atrocious but also the only guys he had. Just abysmal. The issue is they have nothing to fix the roster. Too many expiring contracts, no picks to trade until next off-season conveys, and they’re not a FA destination. Trading away more firsts (which they again can’t do until next season) for one more guard won’t fix the bench full of unskilled forwards, or the lack of shooting.
Side note: Pascal is on an expiring and looking for a max contract. I imagine they first have to sign him. Otherwise few teams are going to bet everything on a player rental, who isn’t a bonafide superstar level dude.
Only move that makes sense is for you to move to different sub.
Zinngggggg
Yup, too bad half the clowns in this sub and the front office see him score in post ups and think that means he’s elite offensively when that’s probably the play the other teams give the least amount of shits about on defense. They’re happy we’re forcing the ball to a guy who is only gonna get you 2 pts at his peak performance at a time as long as they don’t foul.
You had me at analysists. Good shitpost
They really don’t have many options to get young players other than trading him (They’re not bad enough to tank)
