This feels like a classic mid season cross between recency bias and RB2 desperation. I’ve been pretty shocked by how many fantasy “experts” are suddenly all in on Singletary. Yes, we cannot ignore his 160 yard game last week, however if you watch all of his touches it was almost always against light boxes. It’s as if the bengals were daring the Texans to run, and it actually worked for the first time all year. It’s unlikely the Cardinals play that unbalanced.
Everyone seems to have forgotten that pierce was also out week 9, the Texans scored 38 points, and Singletary totaled 28 scoreless yards… it’s funny to see people say they are starting him over players like Aaron jones, d mont, rachaad white, it’s as if they have forgotten how variance works.
Weirdly enough, even though he’s in my lineup this week, I plan to drop him on Tuesday. I have to make room for a guy coming off IR, and I think Singletary’s production will only fall once Pierce gets back. I like the potential of my other bench players better.
