I am a huge soccer fan and I bet on matches daily (especially in-game bets like “+1.5 goals” and “+2.5 goals”).
I recently created a tool where I could define alerts (example: Current Score is 1-0 + Odds for the current team is > 1.5 + Other team is aggressively attacking) to receive notifications on what bets I should place, during live matches.
I am also slowly adding a touch of AI to suggest new types of alerts while testing them through backtesting.
I ended up the last few weeks of testing with a success rate of 82% which is pretty good and want to start selling access to a limited (less than 1000) number of users.
I would expect at least 1 comment to say “If you are making money with it, why do you want to sell it to other people?” which doesn’t make sense to me…
Having other users placing the same bets than me does NOT impact my own ability to make money through my system. But it would also bring me extra $$ that i can spend on my own bets AND see what kind of alerts other users are doing. Or am i missing something?
If you are already used to place bets on soccer games, I would be curious to get your feedbacks.
Also, I am a solid developer but terrible marketer and I am looking to get ideas on how to find potential users for it (Affiliate marketing, maybe?).
I didn’t look much into betfair yet. I think I want to get a good balance of AI and user-generated logic. I would be curious to see the success rate of existing apps. I think 82% is fairly good but would want to push 90+%
hey, combining soccer, data, and AI sounds like a dream. love the concept. regarding the “why sell if it works” question, diversifying income sources is smart. sharing doesn’t dilute your winnings. affiliate marketing might be a good shout. perhaps partnering with sports blogs or forums could work? also, consider getting feedback on user-generated alerts. might help refine the AI. curious to see how this develops!
Interested to test
We are adding few more people to the system. Feel free to register at https://app.ohmygoat.fr/register and give us feedbacks!
Right now, it is limiting users to the 2 alerts we pre-built but we are adding the feature to create your own next week.
