My girlfriends grandfather passed away a little over a year ago and at the time i heard them talk about a watch he owned. Her grandmother talked to my father in-law, My girlfriends uncle and her brother about the watch but nobody wanted it because they said it was too small and looked like a ladies watch. I never saw the watch. Last night we were at my Mother in-laws 50th birthday and because it was held 2 hours from our home, we slept at her grandmothers place. She heard me talk about watches at the party so when we came home, drunk at 4am, she showed me the watch. To me, it is absolutely stunning. She want the watch to go in generations and offered me to buy it at a low price. I can’t believe nobody wanted to own this watch, let alone because of it’s history. She bought it for him at their wedding in 1972. I don’t know if it’s authentic or not but I really don’t care. I think it’s beautiful eitherway. If you know anything about it, please let me know and maybe i can tell the family a little bit about it. (Sorry for the bad pictures. I, for some reason, can’t upload it in high quality and…I was pretty drunk)
I have an Air King from 2007 and I have a 7" wrist. Here is an interesting video on the history of the Rolex Air King. Very cool.
