Been watching 2023 Worlds so far. No doubt we are witnessing the GOAT Faker coming back into form and being so incredible but it just feels different from DRX 2022. All the pre match interviews and post match interviews are thrash talk like “I will crush [opponent]”, gloating, generally very competitive high ego talks.

Then when we look at DRX 2022, all the time they barely believed they were going to do it, everything was so personal like Deft’s brithday tears, “we try our best”, “we tell ourselves we just play to have fun”. For how much they feel very human and relatable as underdogs, it’s hard to find another more endearing champion.
