I’ll start with the Bulls game, which, granted, the Bulls are a dumpster fire, but you could see in that game how special Cade, Duren, and Ausar are going to be, and they’re all so young.

We started the season with Bojan and Monte injured. Had they been healthy, that would’ve completely changed our rotations from the beginning with veteran leadership and outside shooting (and way fewer turnovers).

Imagine if from the get-go we had Bojan, Morris, and Livers healthy from the start. Bojan would’ve been the starting 3, Ausar would’ve led the off the bench unit with Morris, and Killian would’ve been riding the pine while Ivey started. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but that’s my opinon.

I know we’re getting to the point where it’s fair to start criticizing Troy, but we still haven’t seen his true roster construction the last two seasons because of injury. In terms of his draft picks, Stewart was a hit for the pick he was drafted (but should be coming off the bench), Cade (no brainer) and Duren were hits, Ausar was a hit, Ivey was a hit, Killian over Haliburton was a huge fuck up, and Saddiq is a career journeyman who he swapped for Wiseman who is a bust.

That’s 5 for 7… not bad. It’s a team of kids, and we’ve had horrible injury luck the last two years. Everyone take a deep breath.

Do you honestly think Bogey makes this big of a difference to an NBA team’s success?

Yes, a good shooter that can create his own shot along with hitting most of his open ones changes a lot.

It’s the GM’s and his staff’s job to get guys that can stay healthy. Imagine relying on a 35 year old Balkan dude with a dad bod, in order not to lose 10 games in a row…

If the roster had been completely healthy Monty would still fuck up the rotations.

Would love to see how we look with Monte at the point and Cade sliding to the 2 spot.

That’s Troy’s fault for relying on the health of a 34 year old who was injured last year as well.

Monte has been decently healthy in his career so far, so I get not anticipating his injury, but when Monte is your premier pick up over the summer for a 17 win team, that’s not a good offseason. He overhedged on his Cade coming back from a season ending injury, like he thought that was going to fix everything.
