It all makes sense.

The LEC 1st seed beat NA first seed, lost to the LPL 4th seed, lost to the LCK 3rd seed, beat the LEC 2nd and 3rd seed to make it into playoffs. They met the NA 1st seed again, who they handily beat, make world finals playing a close game vs the LPL 2nd seed, and lost 0-3 in spectacular fashion like the EU team they are. They also got deluded eu fans supporting them.

The LPL 4th seed beat the LCK 4th seed and LEC 1st seed, lost to the LCK 1st seed, lost to NA 1st seed and then finally lost to the LPL 2nd seed. They were hyped that they could do some dark horse stuff, but in true LPL fashion they bombed out aginist NA.
