That may work with more experienced players but younger teams need fewer walkthroughs, and I’d argue more experience through reps and experience. Honestly, the young players need ad experience and Matt LaFleur prefers to add more walkthroughs and rest days. Rashan Gary and Zach Tom are the only players playing better. I could argue the WR’s are developing as well. Most players aren’t playing up to their potential.
That may work with more experienced players but younger teams need fewer walkthroughs, and I’d argue more experience through reps and experience. Honestly, the young players need to get back to the fundamentals. It will be very difficult to turn this around but it seems LaFleur and Barry aren’t willing to change. Would you agree?
Terrible culture, which comes from management.
This is the key. This ALL comes down in Murphy, acting as SuperGM/OwnerMan, and tolerating the iffy decision making down the line. Gutekunst has no real power over Lefleur, and therefore Gutekunst wasn’t the man Lefleur had to convince in the initial hiring, or in his staff decisions.
He wanted to be the OneToLeadThePackersToTheNextEra…and what he really accomplished was burning down the last few years of Rodgers career.
Murphy has created the environment for this disorganized and unfocused team. Culture and mission always starts from the top town.
They’re getting paid anyways
