I have an Intel i7-9700k CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT GPU and even despite this OW2 is running terribly.

The game uses far over of 70% of my CPU (100% usage total with other apps running) when in any matches, training, etc. Meanwhile, my GPU sits at roughly 12% usage. This is on the LOWEST settings. I believe my CPU does have performance problems, but that doesn’t explain why almost every other game I have seems to run totally fine.

I’m not overclocking anything, I have the latest drivers on everything (including BOIS) I reinstalled the game and ran a scan & fix for it. Full screen/Windowed makes no difference and I’m pretty sure it’s using my GPU (instead of any integrated graphics). It has ran fine in the past, using all the same Hardware but now it’s broken. It’s not a virus or malware, I’ve improved it’s task manager priority too and my PC FAR surpasses all the recommended specs in all other ways.

The only things I haven’t tried is a full factory reset (which is obviously very inconvenient) or reinstall GPU drivers (last time I did this I had to reset my PC and I don’t want to risk it).

Also I’m on a PC not laptop.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try going into your power plan settings in windows, advanced settings, and lower your maximum processor power. Try like 70% or so. Also, disable game mode in windows since that overrides the power settings in games.

I had the same issue in OW2 for some reason, and lowering my max cpu power fixed it.
