I have a friend who works at Fossil (who owns Zodiac) that is able to get me a new Sea Wolf for 50% (or more) off.

I am seeing horror stories on their website and here on Reddit about movements freezing up and other issues. My dilemma…

It gives me a lot of pause to pay $500-$1000 on a watch that could stop working. Also, if I purchase it this way there is really no way to return it and I would not bug my friend to send it back for servicing.

Can anyone share their experience with new Zodiac watches (good or bad)? Am I better off saving my money and getting a different dive watch (I like Doxa)? Would you move forward?
