Factoring inflation, what game would you always pay full price for, no matter how many years go by?
Elden Ring. I payed full price for it 3 times. Once for PS5, once when I got a steam deck, and once more for a gift to my friend.
Hollow Knight, Outer Wilds, Elden Ring, DS3, Sekiro, AC6, Obra Dinn, Forgotten City, BG3, Sifu, Witcher 3, It Takes Two, Papers Please.
Nintendo games
Minecraft
Final Fantasy Tactics.
If they released a remaster for the Switch and said it was $150, I’d reach for my wallet slowly and angrily, but it’d still come out
Control, Disco Elysium, Valve games, Metro Exodus
A lot of Sony first party games if the reviews are good
Indie games, and every FromSoftware game
Larian Studios videogames
MGS3
Anything from Hideo Kojima, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy (mainline series) and AAA PlayStation Studios single player story driven games.
Been gaming since 95. At this point, literally every franchise has let me down in a large enough way that I’ll wait for sales on them all except two.
God of War and Last of Us will be day one buys for me until further notice 😂
The Witcher 4
He has approved this he can make good RPGs

Pretty much any Zelda game or mainline Mario game. Almost everything else I’m good on waiting for sales or a used copy to come my way.

Demon’s Souls (2009)
Bloodborne
Sekiro
Silent Hill 1, 2 and 3
Super Metroid
