Isiah Thomas was dropped into a shit Pistons team with no assets, he was an immediate star at 6’1" in a much tougher league, vocally chewed out his team mates after their 3rd game ever and called them all out.
And went on to lead one of the great dynastic teams of all time.
Cade might be an okay player, but he is clearly not the kind of leader to steer bad teams out of bad spots. He is the guy that works well in a team that is already established.
