I’ve been really critical of him on this sub but if he can pay like this somewhat consistently then I’ll eat crow. We saw Drew Lock out there and it didn’t look good (although i do think a lot of that has to do with lack of reps and chemistry, I still think Lock is better than people think) but then geno came out there injured and put us in position to win probably doing it through a lot of pain. That’s a leader and a fighter and he looked pretty dang good. Really tough loss but Geno did everything he could to win us that game, I’m a 💯 positive if he didn’t get injured we would be 7-3.

    I gutted through a ton of pain when a drunk driver hit me and I had a long road to recovery, but you wouldn’t have wanted me playing QB. 🤣

    I don’t care about gutting it out, I care about ability, and he let us stall drive after drive until we had to depend on a 54 yard field goal.

    Geno Smith was an A quarterback last year, but he has been a C quarterback this year (Lock looked like a D- or F).

    And a C quarterback can work if you have an otherwise great offense, but we do not. Because of this and our defense we are in a “could win any game” instead of “should win any game” position (like we were in 2013).

    But Geno doesn’t get my respect for not being a good quarterback, I don’t need tough, I don’t care if my QB sleeps with a teddy bear and a night light if he can diagnose the defense, change the protection, hit open recievers and move the dang ball so we average at least 24 points per game if not closer to 27! 😝
