We were one game away from winning the division with them. Granted it was a terrible division, but it’s STILL a terrible division. We could’ve won it.
Instead we decided for a complete overhaul and downgraded in pretty much every facet. In one off-season we went from being competitive to the worst team in franchise history. It’s mind boggling.
I’d love to hook Tepper up to a polygraph and ask why he decided to go this route instead of continuing to just build upon the pieces we already had. Nothing about his team building makes sense.
This sub reminds me that’s there ample people here with more capabilities of running an NFL franchise than the actual ones doing it. Please submit your resumes.
We were a 500 team. We’ve been mediocre since 2017.
At the end of the day…like the other Charlotte team living in mediocrity…we arent a great franchise. We have had SIX winning seasons since 2000. SIX. 2017, 2015, 2013, 2008, 2005, 2003. 30% rate of winning records since 2000. We arent some perennial powerhouse. I’m sorry if this sub would rather be 7-10 every season than to suffer and get it right. So let it have a chance to get right. If that means Reich is gone and we bank of EB at seasons end, so be it. But give our franchise QB a chance to be that. Our OL is terrible. Our receivers are bottom 3 overall in the league. Run game is nonexistent. Defense is injury prone and cant stop a nosebleed in the red zone. We are set to have 41 million in cap space at seasons end. There will 100% be some restructures and potential cuts to expand that. Burns is the prime resign attempt or franchise that eats at that. The rest is capable of putting pieces where this staff wants them. Let me see year 2 and 3 before I go off the rails.
