I’m a bit confused with Norm Powell. Is he really a 2 way player?

I see him get beat off the dribble. He can’t really help rebound in the paint. Maybe he makes good rotations on defense?

There were several times over the past few games where I would’ve subbed Mann or Russ for Norm just for defense.

Lue had plenty of timeouts also to enable offense / defense substitutions.

What evidence is there that Norm is a plus defender?

Lue is an offensive minded coach. In the first half of last season, it was clear Mann should’ve been playing more minutes than Reg or Mook. But Lue kept playing Reg & Mook more because Lue sees things through an offensive lens.

Spacing for offense at least he’s always favored norm and I know we have sucked lately but norm has made timely baskets even if he goes like 2-11 you can bet he will be closing the game if the team is struggling for baskets like we have been recently.

Yeah idk what happened but norm hasnt been a good defender since Toronto. I remember in his opening press conference/interview he said defense was he broke into the rotation in Toronto and was excited to show that hear. But man it’s been over a year and I have to see him have success on the defensive end of the ball when he’s not gambling for steals.
