Just because you extended every play does not mean every plays needs to be extended or that you didn’t miss a read. Read somewhere that dobbs was the best player on the field for like the 3rd time and laughed.
Do you guys not remember weeks 1-4? Kirk played like ass most of that stretch and even the Carolina game we barely won and Kirk had less than 200 yards and threw 2 ints.
This sub doesn’t know how to evaluate QBs period.
Dobbs QB play for 3 games in a row has been good to great. Every QB has stinker games, even Mahomes.
No mattison fumble and KOC not calling a stupid play to get Dobbs blown up we win last night easy and no one is shitting on Dobbs.
All year the main problem has been KOCs bad and conservative playcalling, and head scratching game management decisions. Not poor QB play.
There’s a reason nearly all of our games are one score games. It’s the coaching, not the QB play. The 2 TDs last night were all Dobbs lol. They were not good playcalls and our recievers had no separation all night. Hock also blew the 4th quarter FG walk off attempt drive by not catching 2 balls literally in his hands.
Kirk also probably loses that game and we might have had even less points because Dobbs improvised 2 tds. Our RedZone playcalling has been completely ass all year.
Our biggest problem this year is holding onto the ball. Turnovers have killed us in every loss. Dobbs played fine. The pocket collapsed quickly throughout the final drive. Denver defense wanted it more. I don’t think any qb in those pockets would have done much better. Play calling is of question during the last two drives.
That being said, Dobbs is a good backup, and a good back up is still an awesome qb. I don’t think he is a long term solution as a starter, but I like the skillset he brings. I want him to prove me wrong. He had too many miss-reads and throws behind the receiver. This could be due to his short time with the team and still working on timing.
Who knows what will happen. At least we get to watch entertaining football. I still would like to see what Hall can do.
