So Detroit is now merely a game behind us in the race for the number 1 seed at 8-2. With our gauntlet ahead of us, they really put a lot of pressure on us to win as many of these games as possible. They also have quite an easy schedule ahead of them: Packers, Saints, Dallas, Bears, Vikings 2x. I think Detroit is a solid team but I’m not sure if they’ve been battle tested aside from getting the breaks beat off them against Baltimore. What are your guys’s thoughts on them and the challenge of getting the No. 1 seed in the NFC?

    The Lions would lose early in the playoffs. Even with the number 1 seed the NFC is NEVER going to be played in Detroit. The Eagles in the #2 seed and the NFC is still in Philly.

    Eagles are the better team and would 100% beat the Lions. However given remaining schedules there is a very good chance the Lions finish with a better record.

    They are absolutely in contention for the 1.

    In some ways, that’s why tonight’s game is super important for us - the Chiefs are a “common game” with the Lions, which would be the first tiebreaker if we end up tied. And the Lions beat the Chiefs. We may be in the odd place of hoping that Dallas beats them in like Week 17 or something when they play.

    I think they are legit, but they’re also very much NOT playoff tested, so I don’t expect them to go deep in the playoffs this season.

    They almost lost to the Bears and had to be gift wrapped the win to avoid OT or worse, I could easily see them dropping a game to the Vikings or Cowboys over the last 3 weeks

    They got embarrassed by Baltimore, lost to a not so great Seattle team, and yes they won but we all know they would’ve lost to the Chiefs if their best offensive weapon and best defender played…. In my mind they’re frauds. Idc if they get the 1 seed because I still think we’ll go into Detroit and handle business

    The focus should still be on winning this division!

    Beating Dallas should be true main focus until the division is clinched. If they don’t do that, they will be the #5 seed.
