As we approach 2024, is DotaPlus still relevant? Is it worth it? (it cost more than my Spotify or Google One subscriptions).

Context. I’ve been playing Dota2 since 2013, and there are months that i dont touch it (my main game is still SC2, or FF/Tekken/RE in PS) and there are periods (like pre/post TI season, Sept til Dec) that I play heavy (3 games for weekdays, 10-13 games for weekends). I’m not noob but I’m nowhere near pro-level and I have no intentions to be one. For a decade, I just play campaigns and AI, but i always watch TI. Funny that i’ve just played rank just recently (few weeks ago). I’m just casually playing it and have spent nothing in this game til now.

Is it worth it? What are the perks? Also, can it be cancelled anytime?

TIA.

avoid list is nice but probably less important than it feels (you grow apart in MMR anyway most likely and don’t get matched)

hero levels are fun for the voice lines and swag value

shards can get a few exclusive cosmetics and stuff like custom kill streaks effect on the top HUD

I don’t mind the stacking/pulling helper UI but I rarely use them

the dotaplus guides are terrible so you don’t use them

battlecup costs money without it, so if you want to weekly battlecup anyway that already basically halves the cost if not more iirc
