Man, that was fun.
I’m really curious how the rest of this year is going to shake out with a new play caller. JB did a great job yesterday calling some creative stuff, my favorite were the TD passes to Cook and Johnson. Nothing overly complicated, just some clever misdirection.
Can’t believe how consistently we seem to get injured on the defense. Seems like every game we have a guy carted off. We were down 3 DB’s; that goodness the d-line was feasting and we have good depth there (DB’s) now.
Josh looked settled and decisive. Didn’t force things, took sacks when he had to, threw the ball away quickly and made some plays with his legs. Good man.
Was Davis just not open or was Josh just not looking his way?
On to Philly.
I’ve been riding the Bills for weeks about undisciplined penalties, but Dawkins trucking two dudes, doing a cartwheel, flopping, then waving to the crowd while he picked up a PF was exactly what was needed at that moment.
Couldn’t have asked for a better “get-right” game. If we keep trucking like last night, I think we’ll make the playoffs and then some!
After rewatching the tape, my thoughts:
- BILLS DUB
I love this team right now. Energy, beat the Jets who have a realllly good defense by 28 points and we looked good. The best thing? Jets were waiting for hero ball and Josh didn’t give it to them.
That was the most points put up on the Jets by any team this year with an interim OC against a top five defense. They should be proud of themselves.
I think at this point it’s safe to say that Elam is done right? He’s been a massive disappointment his entire time with Buffalo and with Douglas balling out like he is, with a healthy Benford, Jackson, etc., I’d be surprised if Elam is used much at all.
I was just in the grocery store and Sauce Gardner would not let go of me the entire trip. Frankly embarrassing.
