He has been a really good TE the past two years and he has a lot of potential but this year whenever he isn’t injured we have barely used him except for screens.

We barely use anybody when it’s constant 3 and outs
TE’s usually don’t get sideline routes. Honestly.
Plus Darnell is a beast blocker so he gets used a lot for protection/blocking and then you have Connor who also gets snaps and leads TE’s in receptions. Not really worth Pat getting hurt a 3rd time this year. He’ll probably end up somewhere else and put up good numbers.
By nature of the position he plays it’s unlikely he will be behind the line of scrimmage, or running routes from the numbers out so he basically doesn’t exist in their offense.
That would require to scheme something over the middle and that isn’t in the playbook apparently
We don’t use him very much because the middle of the field is a scary place in Canada’s mind.
